The first signs of the Fall season are here: the morning mist cloaks the hills in mystery, playing hide & seek with the rising sun. In the distance, a village church tower peeks through a cottony sky. Little by little, the warm hues of nature emerge, like a Van Gogh or Gauguin painting, in a final burst of color before winter sets in. Fallen leaves crunch under foot as we stroll through a silent forest. The smell of moist earth and mushrooms tickles the nose. And what a thrill to spot a deer along the trail.
Wrapped in woolens, off we go to hunt through the woods for hidden treasures to fill our baskets. Then it's back home to the warmth and comfort of a hot chocolate or tea to go with the Fall macarons.
