Made from traditional varieties, our chestnuts glazed with rum are crafted and candied by hand in the Ardèche region, according to a time-honored process.
It starts with picking the chestnuts in their husks and carefully selecting only the plumpest ones. Next, they’re hand-wrapped in muslin, cooked and candied in a syrup with vanilla pods and just the right amount of sugar... The multi-step process has hardly changed in centuries. The glazing makes the chestnut even shinier than it already is, and the rum added during this stage gives it that beautiful golden hue. Initially, the texture is pleasantly firm, before revealing a delightfully melting core.
The candied chestnuts are individually wrapped by hand in pretty gold paper and then lovingly arranged in elegantly sleek packaging. This large gift box of 16 chestnuts glazed with rum offers luxury treats to celebrate the season in style!

Glazed chestnuts are a fragile product and should be treated with great care. Ideal storage conditions: between 12 and 16° C. For optimal flavor, glazed chestnuts should be tasted within 4 weeks after purchase.
